4Couture's Latest Team Member...
/We sat down with a cuppa and asked Special Assignments' Grace Twigg – to reveal more about herself and her role at 4Couture.
Welcome to the 4Couture team! How do you feel about your new role?
Being new to the area and new to the team – on a voyage of discovery I finally feel I have landed on my feet finding my dream job. I feel truly a part of the team and eager to see where my role will take me.
So Grace, your job is Special Assignments at 4Couture - does that mean you’re a secret agent?
I think everyone likes to pretend they are working for MI6 now and again, but no my role is far less death defying but still very rewarding. In old school terms you could call me the ‘Girl Friday’ as on a day to day basis I have a varied role offering support to both our Creative Studio team and our Customer Account team. I can find myself involved in projects ranging from sourcing fabrics and garment finishes, to overseeing the running of our client inventories and also getting involved with 4Couture’s social media activity. (You may have seen me feature on our twitter feed) This is all new to me but I am relishing in the challenge, I absolutely love the product research for new corporate uniform ideas, brain storming, drafting, and plenty of cups of tea! As new member to the 4Couture team my role continues to evolve and grow so who knows where it will take me, I might even become a secret agent!
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Being a creative person I love finding new things to inspire me and working at 4Couture I cannot help but be excited by the things I see. Being genuinely confident and proud in the product that we provide, gives me peace of mind knowing to that our customers will be just as proud. Able to see the attention to detail that the 4Couture team put into each project; whether it’s corporate uniform or creative merchandise. I feel privileged to be a part of it such a dedicated team.
Out of hours – what do you love to do in your spare time?
Spare time – what’s that? Since being newly married and moving into my own home my life is hectic and busy, but I secretly love it that way. When I am not busy volunteering or trying to be a domestic goddess, I love to cook. Whether that’s hosting dinner parties, watching The Great British Bake Off or challenging myself to new and exciting recipes – I yearn to make people happy (hopefully) through my love of food. Here at 4Couture the team are all die hard foodies also and find any excuse for a sweet treat.
Next pay day – what do you have your eye on as your next purchase?
I can’t seem to commit to one specific item as such – too many things I love. Wedding season is not that too far away, and I am already planning my killer outfits. I am still undecided but ASOS has an array of possible contenders.
This time next year, what would you have liked to accomplish?
I would like to immerse myself in all things 4Couture and I’ve already got my eye on a couple of the projects we have planned for the upcoming year – in particular I’m looking forward to getting involved with the sewing department, to help to produce the bespoke designs for our own product range of garments. Outside of work, my year end goal is tackle the garden and make it a perfect entertaining area for even more hosting!
